Day Off :)

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

“Day Off” in the Dictionery of Me means… dinner in the oven, dvd on the telly (complete rubbish one), vegetate on the couch, eating rubbish (lovely boyfriend peeling me grapes (never going to happen:)….. It dosn’t mean …. constant demands of “Feed Me” … drive to Arklow with son who has to use the gym TODAY or he will spontaneously combust (teenage male equivalent of a hissy fit)… stop on the way to buy a mobile phone because he has lost his last one… drive back in two hours later to collect him cause there is something good on the telly lol lol lol … Roll on tomorrow so I can go to work, enjoy myself and relax lol

Silver Stand Church Package

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

We have just finished a silver stand church decoration package in Lucan. The bride had made some changes to the package including floral balls instead of floral arrangements on the silver stands on every couple of pews along the aisle and after the break in the pews she had lanterns lining the remaining rows of chairs, it made for a beautiful and dramatic entrance walkway for her and heres a pic to give you an idea of what it looked like,

Autumn Weddings

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

Anyone else just love weddings in Autumn? All of a sudden a new colour scheme hits the mood boards and oranges, browns, berry and rustic colours are brought into play. A whole new range of ideas come to mind and everything switches from summery pinks, lilacs, lemons and a range of yellow tones to copper, plum, oranges, some reds and browns.  Loving it when the evenings get darker and emphasis is on decorating indoors and creating the wow factor allowing for our all too regular and familiar Irish weather:) I have attached some pics of autumnal weddings that can be a starting point in getting a mood board together,

Lets have a White Wedding!!!

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

For the life of me I can’t understand how brides come up with their colour schemes. Working with weddings all the time we see so many pretty items, beautiful bridesmaids dresses, fabulous flowers, amazing centrepieces etc., in stunning colours and if it were my wedding I would want them all – multi coloured swop shop !!! I’m not sure I could restrain myself to choosing one colour so my best solution would be a white wedding. White weddings are so under used but can be stunning with the right touches and carefully chosen accessories and decorations. It also dosn’t just have to be a winter theme it can be all round and adapted for the time of year. Here are some of my favs (well they would be I made some of them) :) :) :)
