Anyone else just love weddings in Autumn? All of a sudden a new colour scheme hits the mood boards and oranges, browns, berry and rustic colours are brought into play. A whole new range of ideas come to mind and everything switches from summery pinks, lilacs, lemons and a range of yellow tones to copper, plum, oranges, some reds and browns. Loving it when the evenings get darker and emphasis is on decorating indoors and creating the wow factor allowing for our all too regular and familiar Irish weather:) I have attached some pics of autumnal weddings that can be a starting point in getting a mood board together,

I love making brides bouquets and nothing is more fun than bouquets incorporating vibrant colours like deep purples, fuschias, pinks with embellishments of butterflies, pearls or crystals. Brides sometimes like their own bouquet to be the one made up of their chosen colour with their bridesmaids having ivory or white bouquets. This can look stunning in photographs and as purple seems to be a huge influence on this years weddings, matched with a vibrant fuschia in a bouquet against a white or ivory dress can be truly fabulous. Ive attached some examples of bouquets I made but the colours are even more vibrant when seen in real life. Michelle

When it comes to accessorising a bride the list is endless. After the dress and the shoes the next on the list are the veil,headpieces,should it be a comb or a headband or a tiara? Its usually best to try and stick to one theme when searching for the perfect headpiece. If your dress is a vintage style then no matter how beautiful a modern headpiece is and no matter how much you fall in love with it, eventually after you have bought it you will realise it just dosn’t suit and you move on to headpiece number two. This is one of the reasons why many many wardrobes in the country are filled with boxes of gorgeousness that just wern’t right but were crying out to be bought and no matter how many times you tell yourself that you will wear the extra veil and headpiece at another occassion – you just won’t! I am that woman – I have that wardrobe!! So the message is …. focus
