Nearly every bride puts a huge amount of thought into her reception – her centrepieces and table decorations, favours, table crystals, mirror plates, childrens tables, top table, seating plan and menus, all of which are co-ordinated to within an inch of their life and usually all this hard work pays off and guests are amazed at how it all came together.
When the meal is finished and the hotel/venue clear the tables, they also remove months of hard work and tiresome trawling through the internet to find just the exact item for the tables. So its disappointing when the bride and groom re-enter the room with their guests they are usually faced with a sea of white tablecloths.
With a little ingenuity and perhaps re-use of some of the day time items a different atmosphere can be created with centrepieces and tea lights. This dosnt have to mirror the day time decoration and can be a completely different party room for your evening guests. Many brides use lanterns for their day time decoration, perhaps in the church or in hallways. These can be re-used in the evening with flowers and perhaps coloured floralytes. Another idea is a martini glass centrepiece with visid coloured flowers and crystals with colourful floralytes. The possibilities are endless and suddenly you are faced with a party room and when your band strikes up its a whole new event:)
